About us

Marine engineering,
built the Aquafarer way

We started in a coastal workshop with one boat and a stubborn belief: marine products should be engineered like they matter, because they do. Today we ship to over 40 countries, but every hull still passes through the same hands that started the company.

Our Origin

Built on the water,
driven by purpose

Aquafarer started in a coastal workshop with one boat and a stubborn belief: marine products should be engineered like they matter —because they do.

Our founders, two naval architects, saw an industry where corners were cut, materials were downgraded, and safety was treated as a checkbox. They built the first Aquafarer hull not for profit, but to prove that affordable marine gear could also be genuinely reliable.

That first hull is still in service today. That principle never changed.

We are not the biggest manufacturer. We do not make the cheapest products. But every hull that leaves our workshop passes through the same hands that started the company —and meets the same standard that first hull set.

Our Philosophy

Rooted in the ocean

The ocean is not our workplace. It is our teacher. Every design decision starts with understanding how water behaves, how conditions change, and how gear must respond.

🌊

Respect the Water

Water is unpredictable. Our products are engineered for the worst conditions, not the best. If a hull can handle a riptide, it will handle a lake. If a life vest works offshore, it is over-engineered for a river —and that is intentional.

🔧

Built to Last, Not to Replace

The most sustainable product is the one that does not need replacing. Marine-grade PVC, Hypalon, and drop-stitch construction are chosen for longevity. We still ship spare parts for hulls we built a decade ago.

🏆

Accessible by Design

Water sports should not be a luxury. We engineer products that deliver professional-grade performance at a price that makes sense for families, guides, and small operators —not just commercial fleets.

Design Philosophy

Engineered for the edge
of conditions

Every Aquafarer product starts with one question: what is the worst condition this will face? We design from the edge inward, not from the center outward.

Our drop-stitch cores are rated for 15 PSI —not because 12 PSI is insufficient for a lake, but because a 15 PSI board handles a sudden chop without flexing. Our Hypalon tubes are specified for commercial-grade UV resistance —not because every customer paddles in the tropics, but because UV degradation is the #1 cause of premature failure.

We do not design to a price point. We design to a failure point —then build well above it.

All Aquafarer products backed by comprehensive manufacturer warranty.

BSCI Certified

Social compliance audit verified — ethical manufacturing for European buyers.

REACH Compliant

All materials comply with EU chemical safety regulations.

What we build

A focused product line that we know inside out —no half-finished experiments, no badge-engineering.

RIB boats

Aluminium-hull RIBs from 3.3 m to 7.5 m. Designed for patrol, dive, fishing and family use.

Inflatable boats

PVC and Hypalon inflatable dinghies from 2.4 m to 4.2 m. Light, tough and easy to stow.

Superyacht tenders

Compact, high-spec RIBs custom-built to match the look of your mothership.

Accessories

Oars, pumps, covers, dry-bags, fuel tanks and electronics. All matched to our boats.

Refit & repair

In-house tube replacement, electronics retrofit and engine upgrades.

Custom builds

Project-by-project design for commercial, scientific and military customers.

Our values

Three principles that have shaped every product since day one.

  • Build like it carries your family

Every hull, weld and fastener is treated as if our own families will use it.

  • Engineer before we sell

If a spec is wrong, we change the spec —never the customer.

  • Support that outlasts the warranty

Twenty-year-old hulls still call us for spare parts, and we still pick up.

Milestones

A short version of the Aquafarer story.

  • Founded in a coastal workshop

Started by two naval architects with a CNC mill and a stubborn idea.

  • First 1,000 hulls delivered

Reached in our seventh year, mostly through word of mouth and repeat customers.

  • International export programme

Now shipping to 40+ countries with localised support partners on five continents.
